Applab has successfully launched the revamped official website of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), delivering a more modern, scalable and efficient digital experience built to support the organization’s evolving content and operational needs.

The project focused on more than a visual redesign. It was an opportunity to rethink how the platform works behind the scenes, how content is managed, and how users interact with QOC online.

Building a More Efficient Digital Platform

The previous website relied heavily on manual processes, making content management, reporting and newsletter operations time-consuming and difficult to scale.

As QOC’s digital content continued to grow, the platform needed a stronger foundation that could support new sections, richer experiences and future integrations without adding unnecessary operational complexity.

Applab approached the revamp with three priorities in mind: improving the user experience, simplifying day-to-day content operations, and building a platform ready for long-term digital growth.

A Smarter Approach to Content Management

At the core of the new website is an enhanced content management system designed to make publishing and updating content faster and more flexible.

The new platform gives the QOC team greater control over website content while reducing repetitive manual tasks.

Automation was introduced across key workflows, including the ability to export annual website content into PDF format and streamline newsletter management.

This creates a more efficient working environment for internal teams while ensuring that the website can continue to evolve without increasing operational workload.

Creating a Richer User Experience

The revamp also introduced a more dynamic and engaging experience for website visitors.

The new design combines clearer navigation, improved content organization, modern visual interactions and expanded sections that make it easier for users to explore QOC initiatives, activities and Olympic content.

New content structures, including expanded Olympic Games history and key informational sections, help visitors discover more information while maintaining a simple and intuitive journey across the website.

Animations and interactive elements were carefully integrated to create a modern experience without compromising usability or performance.

Built for Performance and Scale

The website is hosted on Microsoft Azure, providing the infrastructure required to support performance, security and future scalability.

This cloud-based foundation allows the platform to grow alongside QOC’s digital requirements and provides greater flexibility for future integrations and feature development.

From content expansion to new digital services, the architecture is designed to support continuous enhancement.

From Research to Launch

The project began with research and benchmarking across leading Olympic and sports organizations to understand global digital best practices.

These insights informed the redesign of the website structure, navigation and content experience.

Applab then moved through design, development, integration and testing, ensuring that the new platform delivered a reliable experience across both user-facing and administrative functions.

The website was deployed with minimal disruption, allowing QOC to transition smoothly to its new digital platform.

A Foundation for What Comes Next

The launch of the new QOC website represents an important step in creating a more connected and scalable digital ecosystem.

The platform is already designed to support future enhancements, including AI-powered chatbot capabilities, integration with the QOC Media Portal, and continued expansion of content and digital services.

For Applab, the project reflects a broader approach to digital transformation: building platforms that not only look better, but also work smarter, reduce complexity and create stronger foundations for future innovation.

The new QOC website is now live.
